About the Axis Q1786

Mounted a remarkable 200 feet away from the nest, the Axis Q1786-LE Network Camera is what we use for our Osprey Cam. Designed and manufactured in Sweden, it's widely considered the finest security and monitoring camera in the world.

It provides high-resolution footage – still or motion – in bright light, backlight, or no light at all. 

The camera has a 32x optical zoom with infrared lighting that can illuminate objects at up to 262 feet. It has a 4 MP (2592×1520) sensor with 4 million pixels that can can capture high resolution video at 60 fps.

It has a wide dynamic range for clarity, even when there are both dark and light areas in the scene, and low-light technology for high-quality color images even recorded in near darkness.

The camera can withstand temperatures between -40 °F to 140 °F and has electronic image stabilization and IK10-rated casing for impact resistance. It's IP66-, IP67-, and NEMA 4X-rated for protection against ice, water, corrosion and dust. And its defog functionality ensures clear images despite fog or smog.

The camera also comes with AXIS Motion Guard, AXIS Fence Guard and AXIS Loitering Guard pre-installed for proactive surveillance. It has extra capacity for other advanced analytics as well. 

It supports video with sound and features scene profiles, shock detection, corridor format with auto-rotation and barrel distortion correction for great image quality and cost-effective installation. You can even add additional functionality with its I/O ports.
